About Luciano Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Luciano Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria originated from Hackensack, NJ in 1964. We’ve been a staple in Northern Virginia since 1973, and have been serving the Oakton Community fresh Southern Italian Cuisine daily since 1995! Much like our loyal customers, the majority of our staff have been with us since we opened. From day one, it has been our goal to be your β€œgo to” neighborhood restaurant. From baking our own bread from scratch four times a day to kneading our own fresh pizza dough every afternoon, we are dedicated to offering you nothing but the best quality. Which is why we also make our own sausages in house, our soup is crafted from scratch, and if it's not homemade it’s imported straight from Italy.

Before you go

  • Ask about allergens when you order: US food law names nine major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame), and kitchens can tell you which dishes contain them.
  • Restaurant inspection results are kept by the city or county health department; many publish them online or post the latest grade at the door.
  • For table service a tip of 15–20% is customary; at counter-service places tipping is optional.

Most probably the tiniest spaghetti bolognese portion I’ve ever had in an Italian restaurant. For $20 I would have expected a more decent portion than this one. They do add a small salad for free but they charge you $2 for this tiny plastic container of dressing. A big disappointment for me, I will never go there again.

Luciano has always been special for me. I grew up in the area before moving to New York but always make a point to dine here when ever I come back down. The veal and chicken dishes are always delicious. Their own salad dressing is excellent. My most recent visit didn't let me down. My waiter was extremely attentive and polite. I highly recommend.

Went there for the first time and ordered a take out pizza. The pizza was very soggy and bland. For me there should be more sauce, but all we could taste was saltiness, no other flavors at all. Service was nice and my order was ready in 10 minutes, but I don’t think we will come back.

First time here and we loved it. The food was delicious, especially the Calzone Capri and the beet, avocado, and gorgonzola salad with shrimp. We also ordered the kids spaghetti with meatballs and our toddler loved it too. Michelle was very kind and the staff was welcoming. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend!

Bread once seated is a good touch. Cheesesteak was annoyingly unevenly spread on the sandwich. Barely any caramalized onions, and fries portion was a major let down. Majority of meat was on one half of the sub, while other firste eaten half, was skimped on meat portion. So i filled up on bread and cheese sub. Ate other half when later on in the night at home, but didnt really enjoy it. Would probably give them another shot. Price point was also very reasonable. But a little more fries and meat, along with an even distribution of the protien would be better.
